Logistics

“It was a considerable challange to make the Holland Heineken House in London a success. It is always a complex logistic project and a race against the clock. The Olympics in London was our biggest Holland Heineken House event yet. Over a hundred thousand visitors got the Heineken experience we wanted to extend. For the logistics of this large-scaled event we searched for a contracting party which was skilled and flexibel. And above all, a company which takes the customer's wishes to heart. Because that was what we needed the most. Practice showed that Port of Amsterdam and its partners fit the bill. Port of Amsterdam can be seen as first-rate one-stop-shipping."

Dennis Hogenboom, Senior Sponsor Manager, Holland Heineken House 2012

Logistics

The port of Amsterdam is one of the world’s key international hubs. It’s a component of the largest airport-seaport-city’ combination in Europe. A place where air and seaborne cargo come together, both transport of goods as well as passengers.

Breakbulk

For 750 years the Port of Amsterdam has been offering the world its experience and know how as a break bulk centre. From New York to Tasmania and St. Petersburg to Capetown, you will find our influence everywhere.

Amsterdam is a very important hub for break bulk. With  dedicated terminals it facilitates various customers with a wide range of cargo, resulting in a import and export throughput of 5.2 million tons each year. Not only are various break bulk goods handled, stored and transshipped in the port of Amsterdam, a quantity of the commodities is also processed in the port area.
